dog smell in carpet

previous owner had dogs by the smell of it

had it washed/vacked twice still smells slightly

i read that baking soda left overnight will get rid of the smell

anyone tried this?? or got any other tips

not sure whether to try the baking soda or vanish power foam next?

    Neutrodol powder works. If you can sprinkle it and leave it on overnight, then hoover it off the next day, it should help.

    Also works on various other carpet smells - wee, sick, milk etc. It's great fun having bairns and dogs :D

  • Go to pets at home, they do a sprinke, kind of like shake and vac but it gets rid of fleas and also gets rid of the dog smell. Its in a red and white tub.
    I use it every few months and apparently my house doesn't smell at all (and thats the LL saying that!)
