Help - windows will not load!

Hello
I am trying to use my laptop, but it won't load windows. It comes up with "Windows Error Recovery" and says windows failed to start. It says insert windows installation disk and restart computer or underneath it gives five options. It then does a count down thing at the bottom of the screen, and looks like it is trying to load normally, then it goes onto a blue screen for a few seconds with white writing, but I don't get chance to read that and it goes back to Windows Error Recovery. Any ideas?
Thanks, Sam
