I am an avid user of MSE and last night I posted my first Saving Thread. However, the computer just froze. I left it a few minutes buy nothing happened. I therfore came out of MSE and shutdown. When I opened up again I could not get into MSE but it comes back with the 'The page cannot be displayed' - I have tried all the advice on that page. All other sites are OK but not MSE. I have tried going in through various search engines and the address bar but no luck. I therefore thought there was some wrong with the site but as you can see I got in through my computer at work. Can someone please help - I am getting desperate!!

woo - Tried your ccleaner suggestion - thanks. It ran well and deleted a number of cookies. But I still can't get into MSE, even after rebooting.
Any other suggestions?
PS I am RASing in on the works computer from home - thats how I was able to test my home computer.0 -
It could be caused by your ISP, or the routers between your ISP and the MSE web server.
What happens if you ping the MSE IP address 213.129.77.16 ?
Try accessing https://www.moneysavingexpert.com with a different ISP, e.g. a dial-up account.0 -
You don't say whether you removed ALL Cookies. Also delete all Temporary Internet files and all Off Line content.
Your computer won't then have a "local copy" and will need to download the page.0 -
I would also try flushing the DNS resolver cache its very easy to do.
Start, Run, type cmd then hit enter then type ipconfig /flushdns then hit enter on your keyboard and then type exit and hit enter.
Now try the site!!0 -
Are you using ie, firefox or some other browser?0
