Arrived home about an hour ago after brilliant weekend in London thanks to all the helpful tips.
The Renaissance Chancery Court was as good as the reviews, defintely the best breakfasts we've ever had. Great location and friendly staff. Nice to have a bit of luxury.
We loved Covent Garden with all the street entertainers. St Paul's cathederal and Westminster Abbey were awe inspiring.
One of our favourite was the Thames Clipper, would like to have spent more time on it. Very relaxing to cruise the river, also loved when it started going fast. Next time we will use it more.
Made full use of the 2 for 1 offers and had no problem using them.
Went on HMS Belfast which was very good but would not advise for young kids as loads of ladders to climb up and down.
Bought a 3 day travelcard which I didn't realise you could buy while on theVirgin train down.
The 3rd floor of the Science Museum was superb with loads of interactive things for kids. We spent over 2 hours in there.
Natural History Museum was ok but if you go get there early. The queues for the dinosaur exhibition was quite big (or seemed like that to us)
We didn't like the British Museum, the building is beatiful but we found the exhibits really boring. Probably just us as loads of people there
From the Science Museum it was a 5 minute walk to Kensington Road to get the No9 Routemaster bus.
We had a pedomoter with us and reckon we walked over 25 miles in 3 days. My husband and I both have sore feet.
I didn't realise if you had Tesco Clubcard London Eye tickets you go to the empty prebooked desk and queued for 30 minutes in big queue unneccesarily.
We found everyone really nice and helpful. My 8 year old had his Everton coat on and a lot of people struck up a conversation.
Decided to save up our Tesco Clubcard points and go back next yearMoney SPENDING Expert0
