Is getting replacement going to be simple at GAME??

Hi,
My OH has a problem, well it might not be a problem but I just wanted to see if anyone else had come across this issue before and if so what the result was. My OH bought a £25 credit card from Game last sunday for his playstation, You get a box that looks like the case for a game but inside is a piece of card with a code that you put into the playstation to give you the credit to buy games and things. He tried inputing the code sunday night but it came up as say it wasn't recognised. Obviously he intends to return it on Friday for a replacement code, but I am curious as to what people think of this. Do you think they will just swap it no questions asked as technically it is a faulty product. But surely they could say that he has used the code and was trying to pull a fast one, is there anyway to prove this isn't the case. The other thing that was odd, that he didn't notice at the time, which could be related or not, is that when he got home he realised they had given him the box he had taken to the counter from the stand that is empty as well as the box they get from a drawer with the code inside (i'm hoping people understand what I mean by that). I don't know if mentioning this will strengthen his case as
I think the code has to be validated at the till to start working and if they only scanned the demo box instead of the real box this might explain why it didn't work but i'm not really sure.
Thanks for any help you can give

Give them a call and see what they say?One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Hi Halibut,
I've tried ringing, I was on hold for 15 mins before giving up. I am at work so should really tie up the phoneline, plus I get incoming calls I need to answer so can't wait that long on hold.
Thanks

I decided to give the phoneline another ring over lunch and apparently this has been a common issue currently with the £25 codes, The operator gave me Sonys number to ring as they were dealing with it,
Hope this helps anyone else in the same situation
