Hi, I've just moved over from Virgin to Sky and my internet won't be running for a month due to switchover.
I've unlimited internet (T-mobile) on my mobile contract and was wondering if someone could guide me on how to use my T-mobile network data with my laptop. Is it called GPRS?
I've a good spec laptop Samsung P460 with bluetooth, wifi etc running Windows Vista basic.
My mobile phone is Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and I've a USB cable too connecting 5800 to my laptop (currently only to transfer pictures).
Any help is appreciated. Thanks..

I sometimes use my 5800 to connect my laptop to the net. Within Nokia PC Suite there is an application called One Touch Access. That is what you need.0

Thanks Stu
Nokia Ovi Suite is installed on my work PC but I think I need to install Nokia PC Suite, which I've downloaded on a USB. I would install it to my laptop when I get home.
Lets see how I get on..0 -
The way I do it on a Nokia n78 is:
- With the phone cable connected to USB, select PC suite option when prompted on the phone itself
- On computer, go to Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options > Find the Nokia connection, should show connected to COM something on the right.
- Properties, Advanced and add an initialization command
This bit depends on network, but try:
+CGDCONT=1,"IP","general.t-mobile.uk"
There is no need to launch the Nokia PC Suite software on the laptop/PC, on fact I have never succeeded in connecting using PC Suite software on Windows.
Instead, just do Start > connect To the modem.
Here is a long & detailed version:
