I know Tesco generally take apounding on these boards, but I've never had an issue with them - I work for a company that supplies products to retailers and the one I REALLY hate is Asda. However, thats by the by. I bought a digital scale from Tesco the other week and it ceased functioning. I had no receipt, no box, no anything as I paid cash, yet the assistant was as helpful as can be, and got me a replacement product regardless. Remaining pleasant, polite and attentive despite the security guard rolling around the floor with a shoplifter yards away. Thats what I call service!
