They're all smelly, filthy, packed solid with kids riding around all day with their bloody free Oyster cards, slow, broken, have unspeakably rude, maniac drivers, are covered in graffiti, and the heating only works in the height of summer.

Haha, infact I'm from Buckinghamshire originally and yes I know all about the buses and trains in London etc. I HATE the tube too - it scares me lol. Thank you to everyone!

poor thing I have so many issues with the buses here..sometimes they won't even stop, certain buses only let you have 1 pram on board (What's what all about?) and then when you do get on most of the time the drivers are so rude (by rude i mean they won't even acknowledge you...that's SO rude) i always wonder if the drivers hated the public so much why did they choose this job?

Ahhh, buses. I now attempt to never use them in my home town as they're so, SO unreliable. I once waited at the stop for an hour and a half for a bus which was meant to be every 10 minutes. And sometimes they'd decide not to bother running the last bus of the day! I only use the trains now if I'm going into the city centre. Takes 1/3 of the time, less packed, and cheaper too!
As a student in Manchester I have to do the famous Oxford Rd run most days on the bus, but that doesn't matter because the maximum you wait for a bus is 2 mins (apart from Saturday mornings when you can't get one for love nor money!)
I feel your pain OP!0 -
I have to say I totally share your pain with buses, infact trains too.... Public transport round my way is terrible, so much for the gov. saying how we should all use it!
Buses where I used to live (out in the ruralness lol) used to be the only way to get anywhere and they were hopeless, many times they just never turned up plus turn a short journey into hours....
I used to live on the England/Wales border, litterally only 6 miles away from Wales, and yet it was near impossible to get to anywhere in Wales on the bus as they are all on different services etc.
The only way I could get to my destination was to get a bus in the totally opposite direction and to then to change twice going back on myself to get where I needed to be, cost a small fortune and took around 3 hours which was a joke as it takes 30mins in the car....
Thankfully now Ive moved to wales and live in the city I don't have to get the buses anymore, except the uni bus (Don't get me started on that!) but do get the train a fair bit to cardiff etc, not terrible but certainly not great, always running late or on strike!MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

You forgot to say "And everyone is chattering on their phones!"
They're usually playing some awful rap (with a silent "C" :rotfl:) song, very loudly on a cheap nasty phone with horrid, tinny speakers. Grrrrrrrrr!
I do sympathise with the country-dwelling folk too though. My mate lives in Cornwall and I often go into town on the bus when I'm staying there. I can't believe how expensive the fares are and if I miss the bus back to her place, it's a 2 hour wait for the next one.
I would walk but it's 9 miles!:eek:"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
In Colchester First made a route change to take-in the fact that Sainsburys had moved. 2 months later they finally got round to publishing a new timetableNever Knowingly Understood.
