I've just had an eczema-like outbreak across my collar bone and neck. I'm 43.

I'm keeping it moisturised with Bio Oil, which is the best thing I've found for my daughter's eczema. But it's odd, painful, and annoying. Chief suspect is the bottle of brrrrrrrrrilliant washing liquid I bought at my mother's insistence. Although, having a child with eczema, I always wash again with non bio as a matter of course...

Thanks for all the suggestions. In the end I stopped using shower gel and changed to oilatum soap to shower with. I also used oilatum moisturiser (it was on half price offer at Sainsbugs) and the patches have all but disappeared.

Could just do a double rinse and see if that's adequate.

I know that if I use a 'wrong' washing powder or scented fabric conditioner, the first thing to 'go' are DH's ankles, they look as is something's eating them!
