Desktop Running Slow - Hijack This Log for review

My Desktop, Medion - InTel Core due E6750@2.66GHz 2gb Ram - NVidia GeForce 8600GS

Is running very slow, and both start up and close down are dire, and it does often sound like it is churning away when doing nothing.

I have updated and run Malwarebytes, which was Clean, Virus protection is Avira, also no problems, here is the HiJack Log.

I am sure that I have things starting up and running in the background which I use infrequently and would welcome your advice. I use Chrome for surfing.

How many toolbars, sidebars ,helpers etc. do you need ?
Closed's thread is v.good but you have to decide yourself how many unnecessary progs you have/keep.
Ccleaner/tools/startup is a very easy way to stop progs from auto run, just disable for a start, easily reversed.
If you work down the hijack log and google any you don't understand you can decide whether you need that iten running/at all.

I have just been away for a couple of months, and forgot that I could not get the desktop to link to the printer and scan before I went away, hopefully some of the cleanup may fix that - but it hasn't yet. I uninstalled and re-installed the software in January, so maybe time to do it again.

You recommend uninstalling Avira then and loading with Avast?
