Eurostar Ticket Paris-London

Hi everybody,

I've bought an Eurostar ticket Paris-London on trocdetrains.com, but I've just realized that the Euostar Tickets are not transferable!
How does it work?
And how come there are so many people on the web that sell the same kind of ticket?
Is there any real risk? Any fine or sanction? Or maybe I can't get on that train to London?

I'd like to have as many advices as I can: somebody told me there's no problem, but somebody just answered me that the Eurostar's rules are clear, so...
Anybody with the same experience around?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

I think that you will have to give us a bit more information, because we do not know what you intend to do, or even wanted to achieve in the first place.

At a guess OP has bought a ticket from someone who doesn't need their ticket

Or bought it cheap thinking he could sell on at a profit.

  • So, I'll give you more information.
Trocdetrains.com is a web site where people (FRANCE) exchange their ticket, I mean, tickets that, for a reason or another, they won't be able to use.
They sell them at the same price they bought them, so, no profit.
I found a cheap ticket on this web site and I bought it before I knew any of the official Eurostar's rules.
Now, I WANT to go to London (the ticket is Paris>London), but I'm afraid I'll have loads of problems (can't get on that train; have to pay a fine or whaterver else) with this ticket that is non-transferable.
My question: does anybody know anything about similar topics? Eurostar, non-transferable tickets, Paris-London...
And: did anybody do the same thing I did?

I suspect you will be OK:

you check in at a machine - it doesn't care who you are

you then go through security - they are interested in your baggage, not you

you then go through passport control - they check you against your passport, not your ticket

you then get on the train

    and that's it.

    But I might be wrong.

It has been years since I have traveled on Eurostar but have a feeling when the ticket inspector came on he wanted to see both passport and ticket.
