Thermostatic mixer shower wanted - valve only

Have a condensing combi - Worcester 26 CDi XTRA.
Looking for a reasonably priced shower and found Grohe Grohtherm 1000
(34143) - £130
or Grohe Grohtherm 1000 (34146) - £117, says this one is without wall S unions - what does that mean? Can't see much difference between the two apart from that.
Already have bar-type mixer, so need to cover same holes!
Would these be O.K. with my system?
Cold water pressure from taps seems strong, but a bit weaker with hot, especially when someone running off water elsewhere in the house!
Any info much appreciated.
TIA
