Barclaycard Clarity

Hi,

I applied for the Barclaycard Clarity Card at the beginning of February and after the 'we can't give you a decision now' screen i left it waiting for a letter of some kind. I gave up waiting tonight and called them only to be told i had been declined, not a complete shock as i had a poor credit history up until 18-24 months ago.

I have been building up my history though and now have 2 CC with Capital one and Sygma of which i cleared Cap One this month and Sygma always recieves the min payment on time (neither have missed payments ever).

I have also taken out several catalogue/store cards and use them regularly and pay min+ every month.

I thought things were improving and perhaps they are, it could be just a bad time to apply but the reason i came on here is to ask whether it is worth appealing their decision (the rate is lower on Barclaycard and it is very difficult to pay over the min payment on Sygma).

Thanks in advance.

I wasn't aware of a Barclaycard Clarity card. Could this be a typo?

I have a Halifax Clarity card and it has worked perfectly. I don't use the interest on purchases, just non-UK ATMs. It's 12.9% IIRC.
