right basicly im int he motor trade blooming cheap car came my way that i repaired cheaply and want to give it to the wife, sell her convertible stash the cash till winter and she can use this one
however i cannot afford to just give her the car as my money pot has taken a hit lately
so as her 5 year loan is up in 3 months we done the obvious and called to top it up by a couple grand, yes thats fine lloyds said, 23.9% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! told them we will leave it
so ok, my credit ratings pants as bankrupt 5 years ago although its rebuilding, hers we are pretty sure is above average and no missed payments etc
so is it possible to get a credit card and get the 2k cash out of it to me without massive rates? 12 months intrest free would be awesome
if thats possible the next question is how? would i have to set her up a paypal account and paypal me the 2k? as i know cards treat cash advances differently
any advice welcome,]
our basic plan is this car is worth an easy 3000 so if she ends up with that and the money from her car by december we will be able to buy her a discount winter convertible for maybe 6k and pay off the 2k loan/card over a year or two

You don't share any financial products then? ie current account, mortgage, etc? Because if you do then hers may not be as good as you think.so ok, my credit ratings pants as bankrupt 5 years ago although its rebuilding, hers we are pretty sure is above average and no missed payments etc
As to the cards, start here...

no i dont, i made sure when i went tits up in 2006 it never effected her, she has normal accounts loan credit card, mobile phone, never missed payments etc.
ideally the timings wrong the loan should be finished before start paying for the 2k borrowing, were not silly if its not rightly possible then we just wont do it and she will just make do with the amount or car she has, like everyone we just want to better ourselves, and if buying the car for 2k even if borrowing the money its worth easy between 2.5 and 3000 (jaguar x-type diesel 2005) 100,000 miles0 -
long chat with wifey were gonna leave it, pay the excisitng loan off for the remaining few months and if it works out right top up with a couple grand december so back to original plan. thanks chaps0

Thats fine, for the future take a look a Zoopa.
If you have a Cash Account with Lloyds TSB = risk band 99, maybe worth finding out your loan indicator for the future to see what you are A band being the best for APR.Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0
