Hyundai i10 active
1.2 petrol 85bhp
14" alloy wheels
body coloured door handles and mirrors
drivers seat hight adjustment
electric door mirrors
electric rear windows
front fog lights
one touch down drivers window control
remote central locking

Is this OK for £7500?

    Hiya,

Please see reply below as posted on your last post re: hyundai i10

Its a cracking car, my other half has had one from new (1.2 comfort) for two years now, however it has had to go back for the following faults:

Headlight motor (beam level motor adjusting headlight level on its own) - 4 switches and 2 adjustments still not fixed. Hyundai do not have a fix as yet although they have known about this for over 2 years. Our switch has now been disconnected to save the motor.

2 rear shock absorbers (replaced in 1st year)
    Gearbox oil leak
    Clutch judder when cold
When fuel tank is 1/4 or below fuel pump noisy (sounds like dishwasher running lol)
Radio very poor VHF reception (dealer will not fix)

Car is nippy around town and accellorates well for a 1.2

I would advise you to look at the following forum http://www.hyundai-forums.com/f96-i10-forum.htm

It appears thousands are affected on the headlight and clutch issue and there is a new model coming out soon.

    ## Beware the manual is incorrect on how to change the headlight bulb, The headlight requires to be removed, and I for the life of me cannot fathom out how to remove it (apart from losening front bumper. Dealership did not know either when asked!!##

I have been looking at reviews and forums about different makes of cars and how anyone would buy a car is beyond me.

In fact you could step outside your house and get run over.
and there is a new model coming out soon.

So hopefully they have fixed it for my nice new model.

So, is it a good deal?

My wife has an i10 and for the money I think its a great little car. We have had the headlight leveling switch problem and thats it in nearly 18 months. If you get the new facelift model I would imagine minor problems have been rectified. You will also get the 5 year breakdown assistance with the warranty now I believe. The price seems a reasonable deal I dont know how much more Hyundai will give you off as they seem to have no bother selling there import quota tbh.
