When did BT cease their Anytime Dial-up product?

Hi all

A friend of mine (obviously with too much money) has been paying BT for their Anytime Dial-Up product on one of his phone lines. BT Anytime was a product which provided unmetered internet access through a dial-up modem for a fixed monthly fee.

This product has obviously become obsolete since widespead availability of broadband and as far as I am aware it is no longer available despite it being listed on his most recent phone bill. I told him to get in contact with BT to see if he can get a refund on the service he has never used since getting broadband enabled on another phone line.
Basically I would like to know when BT officially stopped providing the Anytime Dial-up product to estimate the minimum refund period that he should expect to get from BT.

TIA

I think that is just an outdated webpage... if you follow the link the only product you can get is BT Dial-Up Pay as You Go which provides internet access charged per minute through a local number.

I have been just on the the phone to BT and confirmed that they know longer provide this product but didn't know when it was officially ceased.

Also... get this... they are unsure how to cancel this from the bill since their computers do not have the option to order a cancellation of this service since the service doesn't exist.:(

    Ok...

Don't want to cancel account he just wants to remove anytime internet dial-up from the package.

The package also contains Domain registrations, premium e-mail services and premium web hosting he uses for his business. He could cancel the whole account but knowing BT they will take everything off line and it will take a few weeks to get everything up and running again because they have to process it as a new order.

Sounds like you would be best speaking directly to BT.

He will be... the primary purpose of my post was to estimate how much BT need to refund my friend.

He has been paying for a product which he hasn't used since getting broadband. I understand just because he hasn't used it doesn't mean he is entitled to a refund BUT....

Say for example BT ceased to provide their Anytime Dialup product in March 2009. BT then have charged my friend for a service they haven't provided for 2 years so it would be resonable to assume they should have to refund him the cost of this service for 2 years.
