Recording music as an .mp3 off a website?

Hello.
My girlfriends sister is down at a BBC concert in London tonight.
It is meant to be broadcast on Thursday night on BBC Radio 2.
Question is, is there anyway of recording this audio from their website to keep as an .mp3 please?
Our current workaround is to listen to R2 through Freeview and record it onto video tape (yes, we still use that!), but then we still can't convert it into an .mp3 file!
Anyone help please?
Thank you

Legally, no there is not a way to record the concert and keep it forever as prosperity.
If you were to be recording a legal source from the Internet to your computer, there are plenty of offering you could use which simply record anything being played out over your soundcard (so don't go Skype-ing or running anything that is likely to go ping during the concert).
Freecorder is free and easy for basic recordings, not sure what format it records to though - www.freecorder.comSignaller, author, father, carer.0 -
As long as your video recorder is a HiFi Stereo one, and if it's a recent one it should be - then you'd be better sticking with the method you have already.
There will be NO advantage in recording off the stream on the website.
Download Audacity, connect Audio Out from the VCR to Line In on your soundcard, play VCR into Audacity, and Save from Audacity as mp3.0 -

The BBC issued a public statement many years ago to the effect that it did not object to the populace recording its programs for their own personal use.
If it were illegal to save BBC programmes, I'd probably be first in the dock. I've been recording and saving their stuff since 1973.0 -
I suggest you download RadioSure (free version) and listen via internet radio - all BBC audio streams are available. Just hit the record button to record what you're listening to - in 128kbs mp3 format in the case of BBC R2. No problem with external pings as it records the stream, not the output. Remember to set up the recording options in the Tools menu first.0
