Get a website designed, developed, built!

I have had a couple of ideas for past year that i have been wanting to get up and running.

I have got detailed describitions and designs on how i would like my web site to look and run and saved up some funds for it!

Now the hard part! Find a good, reliable, cost efficient Web Designer and Developer!

Where is the best place to look for one of these? I have asked around friends but they only know basic ones as this my idea needs someone with VERY good experience and knowledge i have had no success with the people i know!

Now i come to ask you here on MSE! :money:

Somewhere like freelancer.com will usually get someone to do it for peanuts.

I think any UK web developer would be almost incapable of competing with the overseas providers on freelancer.com. Typically $30-$50 is charged for a full basic site. Now, whilst I'm not comfortable with offshore/overseas staffing myself, this is a money saving forum

There are some keen bods on gumtree too, but at least with freelancer you can mostly check their feedback.

I totally agree you can offshore web design at remarkably cheap prices. And there are some exceptionally talented developers overseas too.

I've done it myself, and I wish anyone who tries this the best of luck.
