Knowing my luck this sort of query has probably been posted and answered many times by others but I'm hoping someone could help me out so please don't shoot me down!
My Toshiba Satellite laptop seems to have given up the ghost, it juts doesn't want to connect to my Linksys router anymore. It was fine for years and now even though it does list the wireless it won't connect to it - message appears saying connecting but doesn't
.
I connected it to the router via ethernet to install KIS. My netbook (using now) is fine although I have to sometimes 'repair' the connection to connect; and my IPOD touch also has no problems connecting. it's just the Toshiba. I've tried kicking it, it just kicks me back..lol!!!
I'm not at all technical so an idiots guide would be great.

What AV/Firewall did you have installed before KIS?poppy100
-
It was just windows defender and, I think, AVG. Although I removed 'freeware' security before installing KIS. The problem of not connected started before installing KIS.0

The first thing I'd try is a System Restore to when it was working.0

Wsd the 'freeware' security Norton? If so, try the Norton removal toolpoppy100

Kwik breaks - I can't recall when it last worked tbh, and how do I physically do a system restore. It's on XP btw.
Poppy - never had Norton0
