Egg cashback store is not the same as Quidco

Egg Card holders (not Egg Money) have access to a cashback store "powered by Quidco" which does not have any annual fee (unlike Quidco).
However, I discovered on Saturday that some Quidco Offers are not available on the egg cashback store (eg: Aviva £50 cashback on car insurance). Quidco have confirmed that this is correct and not a system error.
It's worth keeping the two accounts open as I'm still £45 better off but it is a pain as I will have to check the cashback on both sites!

What about all the other cashback sites? To do the job properly you would have to have accounts at all of them and check every deal on all of them to find the best.
Or you find one that is good enough for you and not bother with any others at all. (e.g. what I do with Quidco, I'd probably save more in total if I checked others but I've decided it's not worth the extra hassle.)loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
Up to you how much effort you want to put into it, but it doesn't seem logical to me to complain that there are TOO many offers available.
Money saving takes time, you have to value your time.
I'm realtively well paid and sometimes it's not worth me spending hours on ebay to save a few quid, but for other people it might me, so you have to put some sort of value on your time as a resource.0 -
I am not complaining that there are too many offers.
I was simply making others aware of the situation, as I imagine many people would have assumed (like me) that by checking what cashback was available through egg "powered by quidco" then they would not have to check quidco itself. Now we all know that is not correct. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Hi, want to bump this thread as I didn't realise the 'powered by' term meant Egg's site isn't actually Quidco.
This explains why I can't log in to the App I just downloaded :-(
Is it worth my while joining the main Quidco site and does anyone know if the accounts can be linked?Mortgage free plans on hold!

Surely the best thing to do would be to open an account with topcashback instead of another with Quidco. They don't charge any fees and beat Quidco by 1% (even "Quidco exclusives" if you send them an easy message about it).0

use topcash quidco has got really bad at paying outDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I don't know how bad quidco is (haven't used it ever since I discovered TCB) but I was shocked when I requested a payment from TCB a week ago. They sent it the next day and within 1 or 2 days it was cleared in my bank. They seem to be getting better and better!0 -
I thought Quidco has improved recently. At least, I'm getting payments every month now and the tracking system seems much better.
I was excited by the Quidco App and then realised it didn't work for me...Pants.
Top Cash Back it is... I think there is an App for that. :-)Mortgage free plans on hold!
