got infected with this on my laptop. have run maleware ect, but no joy yet. any (easy to follow) solutions please?

MBAM needs updating. Latest is 5980 (1300, 07 Mar)

downloaded and ran hitman pro and that seems to have got rid of it.
thanks for help
....and just wanted to add that laptop is running like new now. very happy.
