I appreciate the replies in here, but im still not sure on what to do. The bailiff mentioned the stat dec form. I dont really know what this does, but he said it will sort stuff out for me.
most of the possessions in the property are not mine, I have nothing of value other than a lap top and I use this for the little work i do.
I dont know if I am getting a stat dec form to say the items are not mine, or one to swear my income.

What you really need to do is head over to CAG - Consumer Action Group.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

If your laptop is used for your job then it is a tool of the trade so can't be counted. As for the rest of the stuff in your flat, get a relative to store it for you and get replacements from freecycle. At least then, every time the bailiff calls to remove items of value, you will have the satisfaction of knowing they cost you absolutley nothing.

As for not claiming benefits. Get on the phone and put-in a claim. You have nothing to loose but a lot to gain. You have to remember that under current rules you will need to have paid 30 years complete NI contributions to get a full pension. Every year you are short will reduce your pension by 1/30th. By signing-on, your stamp will be paid so you don't loose out.
