I like what you did there.

IMO pollock tastes very similar to cod. (I know when I worked in a restaurant most customers didn't know what Pollock is) So it isn't anything scary.

people being picky about Cod, please please look at how its being caught and only buy line caught from sustainable stocks, there is a huge shortage of Cod at the moment.

    Good post though thanks.

Cod is white fish. Pollock isn't. Please don't patronise me because I don't eat pollock. Maybe you should be posting on the Asda 8 tins of tuna thread ...

so what type of fish is it? :rotfl:

To be honest if any of you eat in pubs or even chippies and what not and have 'fish and chips' from the menu, it will more often than not be pollock. Also those fish fingers you eat, yup its pollock, and any ready meal that says white fish its pollock.. So those that say they havent ever had it lie like a cheap watch..

I actually prefer it to cod, alot cheaper, more sustainable. pleantyful supply, and once its battered or in a sauce its just as nice as the more expencive fish.

I bought these, but they went through on the bogof correctly. I got the bread crumbs ones and 2 of the battered ones, so i think this must have been store specific.

Pollock, Whiting, Haddock, Hake and Cod are all white fish!
