Tapcentre.com - anyone dealt with them before

Bought a tap from this company a few weeks ago, card has been charged and the item hasn't yet been despatched.
There is no phone number that I can find that actually gets you through to speak to someone and their email support may as well not exist. I'm going to sort out a chargeback tonight as I'm fed up of trying to deal with them.
I should have read the reviews on them first as they are mainly similar to what I have experienced - basically a shoddy company.
Does anyone have a phone number for them that actually works?
Avoid at all costs.

I too have used this company. I bought a tap and it never arrived, ongoing delay was the reason. I cancelled the order and told a refund would be given, however, this never happened. 2 days later I got a letter from solicitors saying the company is in liquidation and they require details on which one I used and the sum total owed. However, I see they are still trading, as are the parent company which was also apparently meant to be in liquidation. I am not convinced this legal letter is even real. So I plan to go to my bank tomorrow and show them the form and point out the companies are still trading and taking monies. butleroflondon apparently is the parent company.0

I'm confused too - supposedly my tap was delivered via the Home delivery network 2 months ago, but we never received it. So rasied a query and eventually a month ago they said they would look into it, today I receive an email saying I should have had a letter to inform me of the liquidation..... which I haven't. I did buy it on my debit card (d'oh) so I don't know what rights I have now.
But they are still trading & no notices on the website about the liquidation - I don't understand it??

I plan to pass it along to the solicitors who were in charge of liquidation. There was not enough assets in order to meet all creditors, so I have to claim through the bank. However, their old director posted on another site mentioning how they just expanded and set up another warehouse. There company still continued to trade right throughout the liquidation process and still continues even now. I note they are applying to continue to use the name but under another director.
You know if I find this is all legal I will be dismayed we have laws to allow it to happen and let customers get ripped off in such a fashion.
Paying by debit, I think you will find it difficult to get your money back.0 -
luckily we got a cheque back off them in May eventually0

Tapcenter customer service, I have been trying to get a replacement spray nozzle which broke 2 weeks after I installed the Hanbury Kitchen Spray Tap which I purchased back in August 2011, I have been trading e-mails with the Tapcenter customer services since then. I have had apologies after apologies and explanations for the delays, but They tend to forget some of the promises they make, and contradict previous e-mail statements. After reading some of the comments made about this company I now understand why I am getting the run around. I intend to contact the Tap manufactures and recommend they stop using this company as a distribution company, and contact Amazon and suggest they remove this company from the preferred list. Not sure it will make a difference. I would not recommend “The Tapcenter” to anyone.

This is still the same owners as before they filed a reuse of Prohibited name with the insolvence company on July 21 2011. Advertising Standards Authority have upheld a complaint on 02 May 2012 (A12-191127)that Tap Centre listed a product was WRAS approved product, when it was not.
These owners also have another website www. Butler of London.co.uk which is also listed in Insolvence, which again was listed reuse of prohibited name. Both of these companies are now trading under Online trading House Limited. You have been warned!!0 -
Tap Centre.com still has a comprehensive website but my experience in the past 24 hours is distressingly similar to those listed previously. They have charged my credit card but no sign of the goods and no response from any of their contacts.0

DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE!!!
After receiving faulty tap and reporting it 12th December it has still not been rectified 9th Jan. The phone number is connected to a mobile phone which is never answered.
The on line chat facility is also never available. We have been without tap now for one month with no one getting back to us. Please save yourself time and effort and steer clear.0
