Santander £100 reward accounts

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with signing up for the Santander £100 reward scheme and then closing the account shortly afterwards? I recently signed up for this and have now received the £100, and I would like to now move on and open a First Direct account (where I actually intend to stay due to their great customer service record).

I have been unable to find anything in the Ts & Cs that would indicate that doing what I've done is against the rules, but it would be nice to hear from anyone who has any prior experience just to set my mind at rest before I begin a transfer away process.

I had never really intended to stick with Santander, but signed up after recommendations from this site for the reward. However, the other users on this site, and my own experiences thus far with Santander's customer services have done little to persuade me that sticking with them is a good idea.

I haven't done it myself,but i know people that have.......on a regular basis,moving from bank to bank and when it allows,back to banks,they have left,each time receiving the incentive offered.If,as you say,you have received your incentive,then you have complied with the conditions and there is nothing to stop you moving on.

How soon did they pay the £100 into your account? Just waiting for my deposit to go in and will be doing the same as you, closing account and going else where

took a month or so here
had to ask since they forgot !
