Halifax Easycash account

Due to my poor past credit (which is now improving) I had to get a Halifax Easycash account. Have tried to get other basic accounts with other banks as halifax have moved town so it's a bit of a pain, but all rejected (just barclays cash card to try)!
Anyway just a question, does the easycash report to any credit ref agency with regards to management of account? I'm desperate to get a full current account but struggling, even with Halifax.

The easycash account unfortunately doesn't report to CRAs the account conduct.
What is on your credit file anyway? If you're trying like mad to get a full current account this in and of itself is likely to be causing you to be turned away - too many recent applications.
Do you have any credit accounts whatsoever still open and active? A credit card / loan / mobile phone contract / bank account?
Paying off your old defaults & arrears, maintaining any accounts you still have responsibly and paying on time each month, and refraining from applying elsewhere is all that is required to rebuild your credit worthiness.
Leaving your old arrears / defaults unattented to, applying too often, and opening new accounts will make things a lot worse I'm afraid
Good luck though

Just in regards to an Easycash account and reporting to CRAs, if I opened an Easycash account with my OH would this show to lenders that we have a financial association, or does the fact that the account doesn't report to CRAs mean that this too is unreported?
thanks,0 -
The Unrecorded Enquiry that Halifax / BOS perform when opening this account may well link you in Experian's eyes, yes.
I can't be 100% sure on this as I think it's only full searches that link people's credit files - and HBOS don't do a full search for this account - you can but try.
Worst case scenario you can always "close" the account and dissasociate yourselves.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

thanks,
I made an application to Halifax for an Easycash account with my partner who I am engaged to and have a child with.
This now shows as me having a financial association to her, just from the application. I'm not sure if you close the account that it will dis-associate you to the person you originally applied with to be honest, although Im sure someone will be able to clarify on this.
Izools, I've got 2 mobile phone contracts in my name with no missed payments in a year with virgin mobile which shows on equifax. Also all my cable services with Virgin Media are reported as unmissed for over a year to equifax.
I have to admit though I've made absolutely loads of applications in the last 6 months out of desperation for a full current account or a credit card to help build my score but got stuck in the rejection spiral and now I'm not going to apply for anything til September and attempt to settle any defaults on my credit file, and continue paying all my accounts I have on time and hopefully at the end of the year/next year I may be able to get some form of small credit to help me along for what will hopefully be a mortgage with my partner in a couple of years time.
Why oh why was I so irresponsible...Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect and don't live to be. But before you start pointing fingers - make sure your hands are clean. Bob Marley - Legend.0
