Hi all,
i thought i was under contract with BT for line rental and their anytime plan, but i called them and it turns out that i am not under contract :T!
So,currently i pay £26 p/m to BT for line rental and their anytime plan. And i pay £15 to tiscali for Broadband.
BT have just quoted me £29.60 a month for line rental, anytime plan and broadband (£13.60 line rental, £16.00 for broadband and anytime plan).
Would you say thats a reasonble amount, or can i get it cheaper elsewhere but still have good quality fast broadband?

The Anytime Calls Plan is £5/month - so why are you paying more than £18.60 for that at the moment?
Anyway, it means they're now offering you broadband for £11/month. Which flavour though - Option 1, 2 or 3? Come to that, which do you need?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
BT is rarely cheap, almost any other provider will be cheaper. But it depends what LLU availability there is at your exchange.
Do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com and see what your LLU options are, these will be the most competitive offers for youNo free lunch, and no free laptop

Do you have dial tone? If so, you are most certainly under contract, and bound by BT's standard terms and conditions. You'll be also obliged to provide 30 days notice of any cancellation. If you mean you have no minimum term showing, then it's only 30 days to sever ties. No the same as having 'no contract'.0
