Can anyone explain how to export e-mails/address book etc. out of Outlook 2007 to a remote hard-drive, please.

Thanks, very useful, however when I try to export the private folder file (7.4GB) to a drive with 23GB it says there's not enough room for the process to happen.......so what next?0 -
You need to format the drive with the NTFS filing system, FAT32 has a 4GB limitation for single file sizes.!!!!!!_Turpin99 wrote: »Thanks, very useful, however when I try to export the private folder file (7.4GB) to a drive with 23GB it says there's not enough room for the process to happen.......so what next?Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -

Don't export the whole folder, then - export groups of e-mails to generate smaller files.0 -

If you use 'Archive' rather than 'Export' you can choose which folder(s) you want to make up the .pst604!0

thing is I want to take all of them.....right now I am thinking I would be better to simple get one of those flashy cards and format it first then have it as a dedicated e-mail back-up0 -

7 gig is a massive .pst file. You must have lots of meaty sized attachments in there.
You could always make lots of smaller .pst files and just sore them in the same backup directory.604!0
