painting white over pink

hi
I'm painting my daughters bedroom....it is going from pink to white cotton matt...trouble is I've now done four coats and still the pink is showing through...am I doing anything wrong?

sometimes the red paints reacts to white paint put on top.
you can use a blocking color such as a coat of magnolia first then paint the white.Get some gorm.0 -
