Hi all,
i am having all sorts of problems with a company many of you will have heard of called 24/7 electrical.
Little story..
I bought a TV (samsung LCD) which arrived stating on a little sticker it was HD ready. I also thought it was HD ready from the 24/7 website. Now, i cannot prove the last bit as (oddly enough) i did not take a screen dump, and low and behold, its changed.
Now, i can prove that there is a little sticker, despite the companies prostetations, that the TV states on it that it is HD ready, which it is not.
The company are stating that they never said its HD ready therefore its not their problem, and as they are such nice people ( ) they will let me return it for £20.
Does anybody know where i stnd here? its not my fault the company describes it as HD Ready, yet it has, and samsung can't take the tv off me as they didn;t sell it to me (TV is also on buy now pay later by the way).
Help! I have a TV sat in its box, and nowhere to go here!

Whats the make/model number of the TV? What website did you buy from? (post the link).
This may help any advice you you are given.
Welcome to MSE by the way. You'll generally find that you have joined a most helpful community. (some very clever/helpful people read these threads). How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

thanks for your response
it was bought from 24/7 electrical with a direct link here:

if you go here to the samsung website:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/television/tftlcd/le26r71bxxeu.asp
it says right at the top:
Available in 19" (non HD Ready), 23" and 32"
yet mine has a little sticker that says 'HD Ready'0 -
OK - an awful lot of people read this site, although not necessarily the vent board. One part of my strategy, if I were you, would be to post on the 'In my Home' forum, a new thread called something like 'Has anyone else bought a Samsung LCD TV like this?'.
LOADS of people will have done - there was a post on the grabbit board with a link to Freemans, where you could buy an earlier model (same shape but with silver surround rather than black) - these were advertised as being HD ready AND SAMSUNG TVS ON FREEMANS STILL ARE ADVERTISED THIS WAY! (look here)
I can't believe that a major manufacturer like Samsung are actually selling an upgrade of a previously HD ready model which is now non-HD! In fact, I can't believe that Samsung are selling non-HD ready LCD TVs at all....  Have you tried looking up your models on other sites? What does it say there?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
