credit card conundrum - any solutions?

Ok Thanks, I think I might apply for the mortgage money, if they turn me down I'll have to stomach a credit card processing fee and then balance transfer to RBS then deal with it in 6 months, in which time I will hopefully have a clean slate and can get whatever deal I need.

Based on 8000 over 84 months with a 4.69% rate, and a 499 fee what would the equivalent APR be? I think its about 7.5%?

I reckon the Santander people will want my money, they are making a lot of money out of me already and I'd be surprised if they didn't want my business.
Fingers crossed then and I'll report back!
Lets hope its Caravan not a tent, as my dog gets cold in tents! ;-)

cheers, just as well I looked into this, just found out that barclaycard owe me £129.38!

I'm not gonna bother with the Santander Mortgage, I'm gonna pay the 2.5% transaction fee by using my FD Gold Card to buy it, and then transfer the balance over to RBS on their 0% deal until sept and deal with it from there.
This will cost me £385 in fees upfront for 7 grand. which is less than the 499 from Santander, the rates I get on the debt from after September will be dependent on getting my cards in order and what offers are available. Worst case I know I can put it on my Breathe card at 6.9% for life with a 2.5% fee though.
