Cordless Phone with Answering Machine

Hi there

Due to shift work I am looking for a cordless phone that allows the ringer to be muted and where the answering machine does not have an audible message alert. Basically silent allowing for unbroken zzzzzzz's !

Any recomendations ?

The nearest to your request might be the Panasonic KX-TG7230EM - Argos eBay Outlet are currently selling these for £18.99 + £1.99 for standard delivery. This phone doesn't say it has a mute facility though it does have ringer volume control. You could always try contacting the seller if you have any doubts.

Not sure if it would work with all of them, but when my OH was on shift I simply used to turn the DECT phone off and leave the answerphone plugged in, you can turn the volume down on most answerphones to avoid the messages themselves waking you.
