Donating my time to charity?

Hi,

I am currently training to be an accountant and wish to donate some of my spare time to do something like bookkeeping for a worthy charity. How do you go about finding charities?

If you’re in Cumbria I know a charity that is desperate for help. But if not you are best to contact your local volunteer centre, I know loads of charities need help esp. the smaller ones. I work with one that really needs a treasurer. You could also look at https://www.do-it.org.uk

Agree with gingerdad, see if there's a local volunteer bureau which will take your details and pass them on to interested charities, or has a list of charities needing help with various things.
