Eon->British Gas
I'm in the SO area (southampton) and use approx elec:9400 gas:22400
I'm currently with EON but have floated off a fixed tariff (fixonline) back to EnergyOnline and did not notify EON I wished to move (#fail) within the required period
Various comparison sites are consistently (good!) giving British Gas WebSaver 11 dualfuel as the cheapest tariff (1540 vs 1660 for EONs cheapest)
How have BGs tariffs compared historically with EONs?
Both offer 6% off standard rates, but everytime I've done comparisons in the past EON have been "up there" with some offer or another offering good rates -- rarely british gas.
If I stick with EON I can change immediately rather than - I'd guess taking up to a month -- but the price diff is still significant
I've never had any problems with EON -- they've been helpful on call/web & haven't used BG in more years than I can remember
thoughts?

One difference I noticed:
BG: 7.485 p for the first 670 kWh per quarter, and 2.688 p thereafter 23.390 p for the first 180 kWh per quarter, and 8.429 p thereafter
EON: 5.254 p for the first 670 kWh per quarter, and 2.948 p thereafter 21.063 p for the first 225 kWh per quarter, and 10.448 p thereafter
So BG has an advantage if my usage increases - delta cost is lower. though no real reason to expect actual usage to increase significantly (we have more computers than people etc anyway.. and replacement appliances over time are becoming more efficient)What goes around - comes around

Let's just say historically BG's websaver product - for dual fuel is usually 3-4th result at best, but this current version 11 is exceptionally competitively priced given that's not usually so I would go for it. As you are aware the market is so fluid, a fe months a go everyone was raving about EDF Online Saver 7, then when that was withdrawn Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 12, now that's withdrawn, for now Websaver 11 is the cheapest dual fuel tariff for the sort of usage you have.0
