Is this an old cahoot account?
If so I have just been AD'd and my file shows Santander have settled the account (no mention of default anywhere) and the number of late payments has increased to 3.
By my reckoning this is better than another account marked default so will probably not include it in the clean up.
Yes its an old Cahoot account. How long after AD did it take them to update it?philnicandamy wrote: »i'd go for option BTupperware_Queen wrote: »i'm convinced of the option B too !!!0 -
I don't know what the deal is with Santander?
A. They seems to be in denial somewhat regards people going BR?
B. Or they are just completely incompetent?

What you have on your credit report just now is much preferable to a default!

Not the point. :rotfl::rotfl:
Especially if you already have a bankruptcy order sitting there on your report. An extra default is going to make bugger all difference.
The point is that the record needs to be accurate once they are discharged, so that all accounts covered by the bankruptcy order will be removed from the reports 6 years after the bankruptcy.
With a bit of luck, they will sort it once they are discharged.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I don't know why I bothered .. just called Santander just to be clear they are aware of my BR and they said yes, but then got into a long story about some big system error and thats basically why my account isn't showing up as defaulted. Apparently that normally happens after 7 months of none payment, but now the default won't show for another 6 months after that because of the error. So that I said okay, thats fine as long as you are aware of the BR and that it gets updated after my discharge as settled or partially settled, to which he replies "no, it'll only ever show as defaulted and that won't happen for another 6 month" (again, because of the error) and that I have clearly have been given wrong information because it won't show settled as it has not been paid and would only show partially settled if I'd made a lump payment towards it. So after going around in circles for 5 mins, I gave in and said, thats fine, as you as you guys are aware that I'm BR, etc.0

Well, we all know that is bullwarks.
Honestly, no point arguing with ignorant phone monkeys.
You can just go through the correction process once discharged, and they will have to mark it settled or partially settled, regardless of what some prat on the phone thinks.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
