Mouse keep freezing...

What exactly is a problem when the mouse freezes and not able to do anything other than force shutdown and restart?
I rolled back from Vista to WinXP just to use the Media Centre...since then I am experiencing the mouse problem. Is the OS can cause the problem.
Lots of suggestion on the web, like editing registry, accelerator etc.,
But I think there will be a simple solution. Can anyone help if they had similar problem.

I must admit, your 1st person i know thats done that (And especially for that reason)
1st thing id try is goto DEVICE MANAGER and uninstall the mouse driver
reboot and let it reinstall it automatically:idea:0 -

You could try another mouse if you have one spare!
