Toshiba Notebook Orange Chargine Light Stays On

Hello -
I have a Toshiba Notebook C650 bought in November 2010.
The orange charge light does not go off even when left plugged in to charge for a long period of time - this has been happening for the past two days or so. There is no problem with the green power light. Does this mean the battery is running out:question:
It seems to be too new to have problems. I use it very carefully and rarely ever use it without being plugged into the mains.
Any insights or ideas would be really appreciated.

Run it on battery only until the battery discharges fully. This should give you an idea of how long the battery is lasting and you can compare this to Toshiba's specifications regarding battery time. Then you can try re-charging again from a full discharge.
Remember - just because it is new does not mean that there wont be any problems with it and laptop batteries have long been a problem especially the NiCad type.
If your charging light still wont go out get it looked at while it's still under warranty.0
