Hi
Im after a quick hard-drive which i want to use for xp only, i want to use my 1tb sata 5400 rrp for storage only as a second drive, I need one which i want to just have xp on it. need about 18gb.
Some one recommended SSD (Solid State Drive) but they are quite expensive i think.
Or can i just partition my exisitng and use that, is there another option to have as a drive for xp only which is fast to use.
Can anyone recommend anything, I hope this makes sense
Thanks in advance

Why do you want to separate the 2 things
you can partition any drive
boot speed is largely dependent on what loads at startup!!

SSD / Hybrid or as stated partition, but partition will give you two equally slow drives
The Crucial 60GB is about £80 and a 500BG Hybrid is about the same price
- if you decide on SSD check back here for further info on MOBO compatibility.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
