Unathorised Charge on my Card?!

I booked a holiday with https://www.onthebeach.co.uk and Im begining to regret it.
I'll cut a long story short and just say that out of the blue they have charged my credit card a further £200 for an upgrade a merely enquired about.
I simply asked what facilities would be included in the upgrade, didnt hear anything from them, then just noticed tonight they have charged me a fee and upgraded my holiday.
Can they do this? The holiday was originally paid for in full over a month ago. Surely they cannot help themselves like this?!?!

Anyone know the legislation on this one? They've charged my card again over a month after I booked the holiday without any form of consent from me whatsoever?!?0 -
If they assumed, you wanted an upgrade from whatever comunication that took place then yes they are entitled to take the further payment even upto 6 years after.
Obviously they have assumed wrong, but I'd first ask them, why they have charged you, before even saying anything about any email/phone conversation you have had.
Don't say straight away I only enquiried about an upgrade and you have charged me for one. Let them look first and give a reason, then if they say you said you wanted to upgrade ask them where you said that.0 -
They sent me an email a couple of weeks ago saying the offer of the upgrade has elapsed.
Two weeks later and I phoned up and asked if they upgrade was available still and what was included. The guy said he would find out and call me back.
Instead... they just charged me for it...
So far they've agreed to send me more information about the holiday... but not done so...0 -

Probably the wrong board but I can strategically buy the best holiday insurance money can buy before I leave incase I get to the country and these muppets have mucked up my hotel booking!!
Reading their reviews doesnt fill me with confidence!0
