Hi everyone! Am new to this site!
Me and my partner have viewed a property to rent, loved it and put down an initial £500 to take it off as being available. We have been told that the company does not perform credit checks but we need to get a professional reference, show 3 months payslips and 3 months statements.
All this is not a problem.... the only thing im worried about is that I have lots of transactions on my statement.... silly withdrawals and spends etc.... (I suppose making the most of spending before I have to commit to renting) Will the letting agents look at my statements and reject me cos of this? Or are they just using bank statements as a way of checking you do actually get paid the wages you say you recieve.....
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

They want to satisfy themselves that you can afford the rent. If you're spending every cent you earn every month it could give the impression that you can't. Who are these agents who don't carry out credit-checks? Most unimpressive. I wouldn't want to be one of their landlords.....0

they are actually a well respected estate agents in our area.
I never go into my overdraft..... so I always stay in the black so to speak!0 -
Got any regular transfers going out to a saving account on those three months of statements? I'm sure you'll be OK as long as most of the money isn't going towards huge loans or credit-card payments.0
