Hi I need to make 1 purchase of around 600 pounds this month and can pay it back just over a month later in full i was wondering if it was best to get a student credit card? what does anyone think is there anyway of borrowing the money either free or cheaply? thanks

It depends on your income. Are you working part time at all? If it is your first credit card, I would apply to the bank which holds your student loan, bear in mind, maximum limit would be around £500. Once successful you can make a part payment up to the limit on your card and if you pay it all off on the next statement then you will incurr no charges.0
