Why I have been rejected.

I applied 2 credit cards this month and got rejected with both.
Don't know what is wrong - I have one credit card with hsbc which I use and pay on time and never missed any payment from last 1 year.
Never applied anything else from last 1 year. I applied with Halifax and barclay card.
My earnings are 27 k a year and got 2 current account and one credit card.
Please advice

It's very hard for anyone to get credit at the moment. Even people with squeaky clean credit records0 -
