For any of you who who make cakes and use the 500g container of cherries possibly you could use that container to put things like sweets in or cake mixture in a jar. Although not too sure how fresh the ckae mixture would stay  . Being a plastic type of container it would be good for children to receive their sweets in etc.

I'm still working on my hampers, got a few bits left to get. I've finished my first pot of gold though. Got friends from south of England coming over next week so I got to get their Christmas gifts ready.
Been looking for a suitable pot since last year, ended up with four bowls from the charity shop instead (only £1, bargain:D)
There is room for improvement, but being my first I'm quite pleased with the result

Just been and bought my Christmas cellophane  . Chose Merry Christmas with holly one which was £9.70 plus vat. Also bought some pull up bows - 20 for £2.80 + vat. Think the cellophane was 60 mtrs+ but was the smallest roll they sold. Shall share it with my sister and another friend!

    hi there

Well i managed to get some more bargains last night in the supermarket, i thought they would be great for a couple of hampers im doing, they are sets of 2 coffee mugs and a matching tin to keep your fresh coffee/beans in... and they were only 2euros - £1.50 a set :T
Hopeful tomorrow i will be able to get the last few bits and then get them all arranged..fingers crossed

They are really nice, good find. :xmassmile Shame they are not here in the UK, they would have been great for the coffee hamper I'm making.

:D Oh good grief!!! just used imageshack to post a hamper pic and had to delete straight away. It was ginormous no exaggeration! Chose the size 640 x 480. Oh I did want to post it too. Nevermind will ask son to help :D
All the baskets are so lovely, they inspired me to do my own. x

Not entirely the right place to post this but as someone mentioned a few posts up about working on a baby themed hamper I just wanted to mention quick that Sainsburys have a half a price offer on all the baby wipes, lotions and potions includes their own and Johnsons etc. Great for hampers. Its only a short term offer though. HTH

I've just finished a baby one for someone who is leaving work tomorrow.

The bottom of the basket :

    and wrapped :

    'turn head' to appreciate :rotfl:

I am really pleased with this & cannot wait to give it to her tomorrow :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

    Quackers,
that is soooo fantastic. The bottom layer will be a huge surprise and the basket will come in lots of use for toy tidying. Looks gorgeous too.
