It certainly does, how thick was it? the ones I saw were in my local interflora which is within walking distance, unfortunately the nearest works is approx 20 ish miles away so cheaper for me to buy locally on this occasion. The ones in interflora were approx 2 inches wide :)

Sorry Rusty was out and only just catching up!!! Just measured it and it's 1.5 inches wide. Very nice for the price.

Your hampers are all great - I'm pretty new to this but I'm quite pleased so far as all of the contents of my baskets have been free or massively discounted, I'm another refugee from the boots thread I'm afraid, so cosmetics for everyone this christmas. I did make a hamper as a charity raffle prize this weekend but forgot to take a picture, I think you can probably guess that it was full of reduced goodies from Boots in a £1 basket from poundland, I think it cost about £5 in all but the contents were worth around £25. Anyway if you don't mind I'm after a couple of ideas - I bought DH some sodoku books from the M&S glitch and was wondering if anyone had any idea what I can put them in and what I can bundle with them.

TIA, hope I'm not being tooooo cheeky :cheesy:

Hi there I did a hamper for my bro and sis and I put some daily mail crosssword books in it as they are mad on doing the crossword every day, With this I put some nice cup and saucers with Cappucino written on them (£1 for the pair in charity shop) and some of the nescafe cappucino sachets and a couple of coffee "flavoured" candles.
  • Hello everyone, I haven't read this thread for a week or two - WOW it's grown, and everyone seem to have moved on from deciding what to put in their hampers to packing and wrapping them! You are all so organised :D

I am thinking about making a hamper for a couple on the theme of 'self sufficiency' I have a book on the subject as a starting point - but am looking for inspiration as to what else I could include....if anyone has any ideas they would be gratefully received!

    hi there

I'm still slowly making my way through this thread. I am currently making hampers for most female relatives for christmas and a couple of birthdays.

Just tried to make my flannel cakes and I think I have ordered the wrong ones from e-bay :( Can anyone PM me or post on here the seller they used to get the right ones? TIA

Can you get one of those make your own pots gifts for seedlings. Or get some nice pots from ikea or even freecycle and grow a selection of winter herbs for them place in nice basket/ box. Then some treats like liberation nuts and fairtrade choclates.

    * Tesco are doing 3 lip glosses for £1 - the colours are pink, blue and white so ideal for my DD who is 5 but probably not suitable for someone older :rotfl:
    * They also have Lynx Dark Temptations shower Gel and Deodrant for £3.33
    * Southern Comfort 70 cl is £2 cheaper in Asda and Tesco than it is in Morrisons!
*Asda are doing Baileys for £5 normal price £8.60+
    * Lavendar pack in a little washbag RRP £8, current price £4 Mr Ts
