savings V inflation

I'm not afraid of inflation. I have purchased a million first class stamps at old prices and will be living off the resale profits for some time
I wish I really did have the spare cash and the time to be able to do that.
Up until a couple of days ago, Makro were selling packets of 60 first class stamps (6 books of 10) for £22.80, which worked out at 38p each, so 1 million stamps would have cost £380,000.
the same number of stamps at the new price of 46p would cost £460,000, so if you were able to resell at them at face value, you would get £80,000 profit (before any tax or expenses), or to put it another way, just over 20%.
Even reselling at a discount on the face value would still show a good return on your initial investment.0
