Regular rebooting of router needed -problem?

I've had the same Virgin broadband connection for some years using my own wifi router (Belkin). Once in a bluemoon I've had to reboot the modem and router to get a strong connection on laptops used in various parts of the house.

In the last couple of months I'm finding that the router needs to be rebooted most days, sometimes several times a day, to get the wireless network recognised.

Anyone got any ideas as to where the problem might be? Could my router be on the way out?

If it is... don't forget about your lifetime warranty!

Yep my belkin router went t*ts up and I contacted their support. My heart sank initially when I heard the indian accent but they really knew their stuff. They got me to try and fix the problem remotely but when that did not work they told me I could return it for a replacement. They paid for the postage and ended up sending me a later version of my router as my original one was obselete.
Of course it would have been better if I did not have to rely on the warranty but having said that, their service is second to none in my opinion.

first thin is to do a factory reset (normally need a pen in a very small hole in the back, check the manual or google the exact details for your model) and then set it up again and see how it goes..sometimes that's all it needs :)
