Also a second question

you could read the Section 75 stuff on this site for info, http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases

and a quick google on time limits found one place that suggests the cover might last for as long as the Sale of Goods Act conditions apply for - 6 years.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Credit card disputes are bound by regulations set by Mastercard and Visa. The timescale for a dispute is usually 120 days from the date of debit but if you have some documentation which would bring your disputes back into these timescales, they may still look into them for you. Why have you left it so long ? You need to contact your card issuers as soon as possible but they may advise you that it's too late now unless you can provide them with documents showing otherwise.
  • Many years ago, I lost a fiver whilst I was walking across the street.

Yesterday, I reported it to the police, but so far, I have received nothing, and I could really do with that fiver right now

I think maybe I should take it to the court of human rights
