I've just been fortunate enough to be granted DLA higher rate mobility benefit. In the envelope there's a form for claiming free car tax - as it isn't due til the end of May can someone tell me if I should send the form in now, or wait until May? The form isn't very clear.

One thing you might think of is sending it off now, and handing in your tax disc for a refund of whole months remaining, and getting a new free disc.0 -
I think you have to go to a DVLA office to have the taxation changed on the log book to DISABLED.
They can sort the refund at the same time for you.0 -
Thank you both for your input. I didn't know I could get a refund so a very nice surprise.
Will deal with it on Monday
