Been with Natwest for years and yes it is standard for them to show payments from your account on Friday evening for Monday.

I have taken the priviledge of updating my sig in advance, because my loan payment is showing for Monday.

Any payments I have that come out on Mondays always show up on the preceding Saturday, but are dated for the Monday. At the same time, if my pay day falls on a Monday, my wages will show up in my account on the Saturday, available for withdrawal.

This is common practice these days. And if you have a direct debit coming out on a Monday, then you need to have the money there by the end of play on Friday.

I find finances are easy to manage if you pretend that the weekends do not exist at all. :D
Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.

That is where I am going wrong then! - Might have some money left over if it didn't exist :D
