I think most councils do it automatically over 10 months & you get February & March off. However, they will spread it over 12 months if you ask them to, so it depends whether you'd rather have 2 months without the payment or every month at £83 instead of £100Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06 :eek:

Just checked my bill and we pay 10 monthly.. woohoo! Looking forward to have an extra £198 to put towards debts! Anyone know if it's the same for water?? Have looked at my water bill and it says something about direct debit installments being from april to november... so does that mean we won't pay water now until April????Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

These bills are 10 months for me too, this year I am going to save the extra to pay for the increases in these and the other utilities this year (sorry to be so gloomy!)Saving for an early retirement!0
